Orient Boss Annoyed With Kevin Kyle Transfer
Hartlepool United latest signing has angered a fellow League One boss after he turned down the chance to move to his side.
Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling had inquired about a possible loan deal for Kevin Kyle but was rebuffed claiming the O's couldn't afford his hefty wages.
Ling said that he was annoyed that he ended up at a club with similar finances to his own ''It is frustrating when you look at the Kevin Kyle situation because we made a solid enquiry but couldn't match his money, yet the next minute you see him at Hartlepool.''
Hartlepool are thought to be paying around a quarter of Kyle's reported £8,000 a week wages but when interviewed last month about a potential transfer Ling made it clear that the Sky Blues wanted Orient to stump up the full amount.
''At the moment the lad wants to get out and play and Coventry see him as being surplus to requirements, but unless they pay a significant amount of his wage we simply don`t have the budget to sign him.'' he told the East London and West Essex Guardian just 6 days before Kyle signed on at Victoria Park.
